Hello,
I have a 97 Ski Nautique with GT40 engine. I would like to check out the impeller and it's condition. Where can I find a engine layout for PCM GT40 engine tofind out location of impeller and how to replace?

Yeah, I read through all of that as well. No mention of the raw water pump or impeller. That manual is basically a manual about the efi system.
I've never looked at the rwp on a gt40 motor, but I would assume it is in the same place as it is on mine. It will be on the starboard side of the motor right in front, and about 3/4 the way down the motor. It's run off the belt drive. These are pretty simple, only a couple bolts hold the housing together, and the you can take the cover off and you can pull the impeller out by hand.
Install of a new one is the reverse of the removal. Some people put a little dish soap on the new impeller to get it lubed up for when it starts up the first time.
