I have a 84 SN 2001 and had the carb rebuilt over the winter. It started right up and idled great. I ran it across the lake and it ran like it never wanted to stop. Unfortunately after it was warmed up and I tried to bring it down to an idle, it kept wanting to stall on me. There was a slight smell of gas and the only way I could get it started was to use full throttle like it was flooded. I was told the timing might be off or maybe my coil was going bad. Any one had this problem? How did you fix it?
Thanks!!

check the timing, leave the coil alone, but I think your float is a shade too high thought.
