Hi, my 2004 SN exhaust is loud on take off but it goes away after a few seconds. No overheating and I replaced impeller. No water in bilge from drain plug missing from muffler. Any ideas?

it's called harmonics nothing to worry about, the tone is lower at take off then increases in pitch as the engine's rpms come up.

It's definitely more than a different tone--sounds like the impleller isn't pumping water and exhaust is dry but as I said, no overheating and I changed the impeller.

If the impeller isnt pumping water, you wont know it unless the temp gauge goes up- you certainly wont hear it.
I suspect youre hearing an echo effect on takeoff. The large wake thats produced at a slow (just on plane) speed, combined with a slightly more bow-up position causes some sound reflection. Ive noticed this on every inboard Ive ever driven.
