The above engine was just resurrected from a 2 year slumber. Fuel was bad, replaced. New plugs, wires, rotor. new fuel filter. Lower fuel pump was toast and sent white corrosion into fuel system. I think the injectors are clogged. It runs great until 3000rpm then just stubbles. I was thinking I could put a set of ford motorsport injectors in it for about how much it will cost to get the stock ones tested ($200 for that).
What size are they?

I think there are 24 lb/ hr injectors on a PCM gt40.
Doing the computations to determine injector size says 24 lb ones are proper.

Thanks! After some researching, it looks like ford has changed to an upgraded 24# injector- the Ford Racing M-9593-AA302. Found a new set of 8 for $149!

Ford Racing has two different 24lb kits available. The M-9593-AA302 has the blade type pins on the injector and the M-9593-LU24 has the needle style pins on the injector. Make sure you order the ones that match your old injector style.

397-M-9593-LU24A and 397-M-14464-A8 seems to be the current setup from Ford Racing Parts

I was comparing the specs between the M-9593-AA302 and 397-M-9593-LU24A
The Injector voltage offset as a function of battery voltage is different. Will this cause problems? If one responds quicker won't more fuel flow out if the injector is left open for the same amount of time? Less dead time on the injector
M-9593-AA302 VBAT Voltage Offset volts) (ms) 6 2.273 8 1.420 10 1.005 11 0.863 12 0.751 13 0.666 14 0.579 15 0.504
397-M-9593-LU24A VBAT Voltage Offset volts) (ms) 6 4.453 8 2.234 10 1.527 11 1.297 12 1.127 13 0.997 14 0.874 15 0.785

Bumping an old thread to ask a question.. It's next to impossible to find the 24lb injectors with the Jetronic®/ Minitimer ® and that was what my GT40 came equiped with. Anybody have a source for new injectors with the "older" connector?
They sell little plug in adapters but I'm not sure I trust that.

Go to the auto parts store and ask for injectors for a 95ish F250 with a 460.

Oreilly and Autozone want $70 each injector :0... The FMS kits can be had for less than $250 for a whole set.

The ford adapters are fine. You fill them with dielectic grease that comes with them. Height is not an issue they clear fine. They have good water seals on them.

Something like this?
The body looks different than mine but from what I've read the long/skinny ones are just the updated version of what I have...

Yes. I got mine from buy ford racing. $20 less. You pick the option to add the adapters. $179 with out adapters, $199 with. The body is different and they have 6 very small holes instead of 4. They vaporize the fuel a bit better than the older version.

Awesome thank you... The ones in there are a clogged up mess and two were cracked on the top from the PO messing with the motor.
