A friend was asking if I knew what a boatyard charges to winterize a boat. Off hand I didn't have a clue but it got me wondering ...so

For those of you that have this service done, what are your local boatyards, marinas getting for a inboard winterizing? What is included for the price?

Hey Kevin - Friend of mine gets his done for $250, and the guy comes to his house to do it. I think it includes the basic oil change, fog and drain... I dont know for sure what else is included.

I paid once in 2003 at the marina where we bought a 2003 Malibu and they charged $150 which included an oil change, water/sep fuel filter change and winterizing.

In Charlotte NC, Race City Marina will do the full winterization which includes ballasts for 150. This doesnt include oil change, but Id rather do that myself. He also suggested FSR to get the lake chum off the hull.. Seems like a good guy, we will see..
