Last place I thought I would see a Ski Nautique…my kids rented the movie Blond and Blonder. It is a Pam Anderson flick spin off of Dumb and Dumber I think. Any ways the kids were watching the movie and talking about how stupid it was , and then BAAM! a 90s Ski Nautique as a case boat. Other than H20 Extreme (which should have in boards) I think it’s the only other movie with a In board ski boat that I have seen thus far.
Only pic I could find

Last House on the Left had a green SN as the getaway boat in the boathouse. I'll try to find a pic.

The funny part about it, was at the end, they are looking for the key to the boat, as they're taking off, it noticed its one of the newer Nautiques with the number keypad!

I would kill to have the time to analyse the ignition system of the boats in movies my kids are watching.

I'm sure you guys know about this one. A (2001 model?) Ski Nautique makes an appearance for like a nano second.

Early 90's Ski Nautique in Alan Jackson's Chattahoochee. Could be the inverse of Mdvalants folks 90 Ski. Also pretty sure Alan is riding an O'Brien in the video. If that is him on the trick ski, he must be a pretty accomplished skier. Wonder if that was his boat, wonder who has it now. Anyway here is the video (ski Nautique appearance at 1:15, 1:33, 1:42, ...)

Steve's right...I believe if I remember correctly this IS his boat in the video, and I know he's a pretty good skier but not sure how good.

I think this might have been mentioned in another post, but for those that didn't see it...
About 10 minutes into the movie Zombieland - in the scene when 'Columbus' and 'Tallahassee' meet on the highway - you can see a 80'S era SN on top of a car in the background.
Sorry I don't have a picture...

Well, since this thread has been bumped, here is a little bit of trivia for you I noticed last fall. In the movie The Great Outdoors with John Candy and Dan Ackroyd, (the one with the famous Candy skiing sequence) when they are at the boat rental place renting "Eat My Wake", if you're quick, you can see a Southwind going by on a trailer in the background.

Larry, last time I saw that movie noticed that also.
BTW, The rental boat was "Suck my Wake"

I stand corrected. As the cobwebs clear out of this old fart brain of mine, I now recall that "eat my wake" was on the side of a flattie I was looking to buy as my first boat back in the early 80s in Houston. I waved $4000 under the guy's nose and he wouldnt take it. I always wanted a flattie, but in hind sight, I'm glad he didnt take it. Totally worthless ski boat. Months later I ran into a friend of the guy and he said he wished he had taken my offer, as a better one never came along.
Another little piece of trivia: The skier in the movie was Bob Lapoint.

Haha, love that movie.
Pontoon boat? What are you going to do with a pontoon, retake Omaha beach??? Uncle Roman's gonna blow some coin on a kick-a$$ jet boat.

True enough, but I will give Craig credit for what is probably an accurate quote. In some reading I did about the movie, it was referred to a jet boat, so it is entirely possible that that is what Roman said. They assumed that the great unwashed out here would never know the difference.

They probably thought "Jet" Boat sounded more wild.
BTW, when the father is talking to his son by the hotdog stand. There's a Red and White boat that passes right behind them. Is that a Classic maybe?
Also, the same boat passes by twice.

Not the only time someone was confused by that. Remember the knot head that posted a CC on ebay or craigslist that was linked here that said the exhaust ports were a jet drive?

Well, how about that? I have to stand corrected twice in one thread now. Guess I'd better stick with what I know best, which is....uh...hmmm. You're kind of the Tim Benjamin of movie trivia/dialogue. Good detective work/recollecting. What were the odds that that 18 second dialogue was pulled out on youtube?

The waterski scene in Great Outdoors is pretty cool.

Glad they refrained from the overdone "fat guy holding the boat back" like in GrownUps in favor of fat guy flying all over the lake at dangerous speed.

Good find. I think it's the couple lines right after that where he asks the kids if they want to "tour the lake in comfort on the pontoon or skim the waves in a jet boat".. and the kids say "Jet boat!" Something along those lines.

I remember there's a scene in one of the Police Academy movies where the really big guy is holding back an MC Stars N Stripes. I remember it being kinda fake, cause the boat wasn't even revving.
I was looking for that clip, and I stumbled across a MC forum where they mentioned the Muppets Movie and an MC Stars and Stripes goes by. I vaguely, vaguely, remember this scene.
I couldn't find either clip though.
