What type of transmission fluid should I use for a Borg Warner Velvet Drive transmission in our 1979 Ski Tique? I cannot find a fluid that is currently sold that meets the Borg Warner transmission manual specifications. I assume a synthetic is not acceptable but I do not know what type to use. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Dexron III or Dex/Merc. Stick with conventional, do NOT use synthetic.

Thank you for the prompt response. Learning how to maintain the boat has been as enjoyable as actually using the boat. This is our first inboard and it has exceeded our expectations. CorrectCraftFan has been a tremendous resource for a beginner like me.
