I found a couple of craigslist Mercury's like this:

One I found in Iowa, Chris Mars is baby sitting in Iowa City.

The other was found in Wisconsin, Dave Dorsen has it in Milwaukee.

If anyone is traveling through these area's and could help get these toward Cincinnati, please let me know.

Thanks,

Gary

Chris,
If you can get it to me, I'll get it to Gary no problem. Just let me know. I can come up to meet you off of I-90 as you make it into the burbs..

Gary, I'll be heading your way about that time, first of December...

Dave and Chris, thank you very much!

Steve, they are both Kiekhaefer Mercury lightnings, like the picture. (of course they don't look nearly that nice).

I'm in Iowa City all the time, 30 mins from me. I can always pick something up in that area, and get it to Chris or whoever is going to Chi town.

Mojo- I'll shoot you an email here in the next few days when I finalize my travels. I will probably fly in, so I'll put it on our straight truck and then meet you once I get in.

There is a very small chance I will be heading up to Northern WI to drop off our Chris Craft around the same time. If that's the case, I will bring it with me in the back of my truck and can meet you wherever.

I'll be in Chicagoland Dec 1 regardless.

Yes, we (myself and the merc) will be in Chicago December 1.

I will know if I am flying or driving in the next few days. If I can get this Chris Craft Trailer ready I will probably leave a few days early and make a loop to northern WI and then down to chicago.

If not, I will put in on our truck and it will be there when I fly in.

Gary, just wanted to update you and Mojo... Looking like I will be taking our Chris Craft up north to WI on sunday and back down to Chicago Monday afternoon/evening at some point to drop the merc off with mojo and hopefully have a few beers with the chicagoland crew before I leave town on Friday.

Chris, Dave, Steve,

Thank you very, very much! Over the past few months, these guys recovered and delivered two little craigslist Mercury's for me. I had just a little time this morning to actually look them over and the Iowa motor was about what I expected, but the Wisconsin motor is in really excellent shape, it's missing the lower cowl, but other than a small dent in the tank it could be mistaken for an motor that was a couple years old, not 63 years old! I'll get some pics this weekend and post them up!

Thanks Again!
