I know, this subject is probably somewhere in the archives, too cumbersome to search...
What is the best and safest way to run your boat engine when the boat is out of the water??? Are there kits to connect your garden hose to the Through Hull Water Inlet or other connections??? I have the standard raw water cooling system.
I want to safely run my boat in my driveway while performing maintenance and troubleshooting without burning up the engine...

Many ways to do it. Here is mine.
Pull the hose off the top of the trans cooler and put on a piece of vinyl tubing. Reusing the hose clamps stick your garden hose in the other end. Blips of the throttle are ok but the tubing will collapse before 2,000 rpm.

Try a search you'll find a lot of information. I use Google and restrict the domain to correctcraftfan.com

Thanks guys for the quick reply...seems easy enough, especially with Pro-Flush...I honestly believe $60 is a small price to pay to preventing a catastrophic engine fatality when DIYer-me dorks something up in the driveway!!!

HW-
How do you restrict Google search to correctcraftfan.com domain? In settings? or in search string?
Tried this: flush site+correctcraftfan.com but didn't work.......
Thanks Man!

Thanks Tim!
I was pretty proud of myself just to find the "site" search term...... that should help a lot!

DO you ever go to Philpot Lake? I was told that is a nice VA spot and not too far from me.

We love Philpott Lake. It is very quiet, wooded and intimate. Not a great place for skiing at 30+ mph or throwing huge wakes (out of respect for other families quietly enjoying a peaceful setting). It is a little like Belews with steeper shorelines and less access.....
We stopped going once we bought a place on the other side of Franklin County on Smith Mountain Lake........... but it is a quiet, romantic, beautiful get away... Great for smaller boats like your boat and my Tique......... Go visit.....
plus the wife will like it and "Virginia is for Lovers".... if you know what I mean!

Sounds great! I have heard about Smith too. This year I will have more time to explore the lakes around. There are so many within a couple of hours drive that I have a challenge on my hands trying to see them all.

I drive past Belews all time..... We need to meet up there - maybe on the next stop back from Reid & Matt's place.

I am on Belews all the time so that is a definate! Power plant "enhanced" water makes it rideable early in the season.
