I am in need of a 71 Wood/Aluminum original steering wheel for Ski Nautique. See photos in diaries (green). Its the only modification we think was ever made on this boat other than new hoses and 1 interior recover. thanks dave

Are you looking for the one like http://www.correctcraftfan.com/diaries/details.asp?ID=2397&sort=&pagenum=1 - here or http://www.correctcraftfan.com/diaries/details.asp?ID=221&sort=&pagenum=1 - here? Is your steering wheel bezel, the part that mounts on the dash, chrome or painted?
I don't have one, just trying to figure the right one you need.

Gary
Not sure if CC used multiple styles in 71 but I would like to find a wood rim version. The Teleflex bezel was painted off white on my boat.
Thanks
Dave

The 2 styles Ive seen used in '71 are the wood rimmed Teleflex and the white/cream plastic one with the chrome insert. I believe the wood rimmed version was more common on the Ski Nautique- so I think youre looking for the proper one. The black rimmed Teleflex wheels didnt start showing up until around '73. All of them can be very hard to find!

I have one like dag5303 is looking for, I THINK !! The brown "wood" is faded (from Florida sun), but is totally functional. The spokes are stainless and look nice ! The hub is pitted, like all FL parts. I can email you a photo of it tonight if you give me an email to send it to....or I may post it on here.
