Hi,
Which grit paper do you guys recomend for the area around the secondary stringers that is already free of bilge spray? Do you have to get all the bilge coating off to refiberglass. The ski pylon still will not come out. Anyway making progress
Post some pictures when it starts coming back together.

Do you have pictures of the pylon and what is giving you trouble? You want to remove all of the gelcoat in the bilge and bond directly to the glass. Around the secondaries you dont have to grind much. It should already be bare glass. Again pics would really help to see what your talking about.

Mike,
Keegan's correct that you should see some glass especially around the mains. Just go after it with a 36 disc in the right angle.
