They were ugly and not really a ski boat. I think they made them as I/O's as well as I/B's. A guy on our lake just sold one and bought a Arabian. I'd be surprised if they brought as much money as a Resorter or an Arabian.

I skied behind one once. It had a 454 so it had lots of pep, but it was horrifically turbulent behind the boat. I would tend to agree with Bruce. I am sure a traditional century inboard would have greater value than the CTS.

They where ok. My dad that had a friend that owned one. Far as the boat itself it was ok, but If I am not mistaken I think they went to in outs pre 80's. My dad always complained about the wake itself but they where built like a brickhouse.
Anything Centruy though was built very well. Depends what you are looking for. I wish I had cash now to buy a late 60's century resorter. 67 or 68. I hope you find what you are looking for.

i just saw one in mass for 1500 hasent run for yrs . its on craigs list . i just hadnt seen one before. found a couple on google images. the one for sale looks like an 84 or so.

I own a 1989 CTS. It has been a very good boat with no real issues at all. The 454 and 4" exhaust sound great and the boat has plenty of power, it tracks very well and handles choppy water fairly well, even better than my friends Correct Craft and my Supra but the rough water ride comes with a higher wake. It will take water under the windshield when you idle along in very choppy water ( low nose). It has a bigger wake than a Correct Craft, Master Craft and just about any other "real" ski boat and it is not of the same quality but the price was right for an amateur skiers such as myself. If you can cut across the Century's wake, any other ski boat wake will be easier. No doubt the Correct Craft's wake is very small. I think the CTS looks great and people can't believe it only goes 45mph and not 70. Gel coat needs buffing every year but it still looks good when you are done. Over all...if you are on a budget, not a professional skier and want an inboard it is not a bad boat at all. My Century CTS can be seen online
