Thanks for the wishes Kap. Nothing crazy here in Iowa other than the drizzle and 40 degree temps.

Been a crazy week or two here in the mid south. Really, we have been luck in Jonesboro, AR as several major storms have gone just north or south of us. Although, we did have to take cover yesterday at work as a tornado touched down about 3 miles from the plant. Luck for us this was an isolated super cell and not a line of tornado producing storms. Feel bad for the folks in AL. The tornados are bad, but in Arkansas, the flooding is causing way more damage. Many towns completly surrounded by water with no way in our out without a boat. The lake we go to, Norfork, is about to go over the dam. It is at 578 ft right now and still rising and it starts going over the top at 580. I was helping the marina owner move the docks in on Easter and the level was at 558, so it has gone up 20 ft in about 3 days. Here are some pictures...there is a road that goes around the other side of that pavilion. Usually there is about 50-60 ft of grass and road between the pavilion and the waters edge. First one is Tuesday night, second one is Thursday morning.

Long night for allot of us who live on the Southside of Atlanta. Weather radio went off around midnight claiming tornado WARNING so I got up turned on the tube and saw that one of the tornado's that went through Tuscaloosa was headed straight for McDonough. Went to the basement hit the couch switched on the TV as news reported she was about 10 minutes out. Looks like the path was gonna miss me by about a mile or two when the cable went out. Never lost power but turned the tube off and went to sleep. Never heard nothing!

Woke up this morning and saw the devistation east of the house close to the Atlanta Speedway. Mass destruction all along the 19/41 hwy which is the main road that takes you to the track. Businesses destroyed debris everywhere. Texted a bud this morning whose road I heard mentioned just before the cable went out to see if he came away unscathed to which he replied yes but the brick house across the street from him was flatter than a pancake.

Prayers to those who lost life or everything they had.

Adam...good to see you check in here as we haven't seen you in a while.

A week ago a subdivsion close to work got ripped apart. Today 2nd shift was canceled for tornados, one JUST passed within 2 mi. of the house. The good thing (for us) is the storms seem to loose some strenght as they here.
This weekend its suppose to be great weather @ White lake! If it will quit raining I can install a new buldge pump and I'm good to go.

Not any tornado's very close to us. Lots of severe thunderstorms and lots of rain. We got almost 10 inches of rain in the past 10 days or so.

Thanks Tim. I am still stalking the forums. Sold the boat this past Feb. to a guy near Dallas. Since moving from FL to AR, we just have not used it as the lake is about 2.5 hours away and a buddy has a boat he keeps there. Only thing better than owning a boat is a buddy owning a boat! Also had a baby in Feb, so figured i would not use it any more in the next few years.

Checking in here from Decatur. Our property was not damaged but our area is devastated. Power is back at our place, but it could be another week for the city of Huntsville.

I am trying to email Doug, (89nautique) to check in from Tuscaloosa.

My family's house is on Lake Burton in NE Georgia. It's a pristine, clean, and heavily wooded area, at least most of it still is. A tornado ripped through our cove on wednesday night, and since our house is small, we made off much better than our neighbors. Complete devistation from our house to the north for about a half mile path. The pictures don't come close to showing the scope of destruction. Our boat house is the light grey one with the white sticks where the deck roof used to be. Parts of the roof are scattered across the yard both in front AND back of the house! My boat (newly restrung and repowered) was in the boathouse, and wasn't even scratched! Many people lost everything in the storm. There were several injured, and only one death on the lake; an 80 year old man who ran to the basement only to be crushed by his house.

Oh, and the picture where it looks like an upside-down roof is an entire boat house with a v-drive and a pontoon upside down in the wreckage...and it came from the cove on the other side of the ridge!

Hey Group,
We are fine, however Tuscaloosa got hit really, really hard. It missed us by about 5 miles on my side of town. The tornado went right through the middle of town and completely leveled everything in its path. Please keep Tuscaloosa in your thoughts and prayers as this will be a very long process as there are over 5,000 structures damaged. Thanks goes out to Chris4x4gill for checking in on us.

Those storms came across TX first. We watched two separate tornadoes touch down to the north of us and one went right overhead. We could peer through the hole. No damage for us though.
