What if the new one still isnt so straight into your shaft log? you'll be at the same scenario then.

how did you determine your strut is bad?

I've got a strut from a 79 SkiTique that I parted-out. $100 plus shipping.

There has been a lot of discussion on straightening struts and there are rumors that they may have even had to bend them in the factory using a bar on occasion to get proper alignment.
