The throttle assembly feels loose and sloppy, is there anyway to make the throttle lever assembly feel more positive? When i put the boat in drive and reverse it almost seems like its too easy and if pushed ever so slightly the boat rockets foward or back, feels like theres almost not enough resistence .... makes docking a challenge. Was wondering if anyone had one that has low hours on it or if they are still available , or is there a simple fix?

I believe that there is a spring inside the Morse Control. Yours spring may be broken. I have not ever been into mine.

There are a few springs inside the Morse, I would suggest cracking the whole thing open and cleaning/inspecting/regreasing it. I think this is the first time Ive ever heard of one being "too loose"... usually they tighten up with age.

The mechanism is pretty simple- but take a look at the MV-2 manual in the reference section as you put it back together.

Will do, the previous owner gave me all the original manuals for the boat so I will reference those. Would it be possible for me to put the newer style handle on that has the neutral safety ring ?? I saw it on one of the nautique online stores?
