About to order some parts and forgot to check the amperage rating on my failing push button switch for my 12v outlet. Anyone happen to know off the top of their head so I don't have to drive home and uncover my boat. It has been raining every day by time I get home so it's been a PITA!

Thanks as always!

Searched my butt off.....disclaimer before someone rips me for not searching before asking. Does anyone else not get along with the search function very well or am i just slow?!

Yeah I saw that, but after all the "over-fusing" talk around here I didn't want to risk melting my undersized dash wiring while filling up a fat sack with a what I would think is a high-draw pump. But I'll just pull the dash to be sure. I know I have read it here before, just can't get it pulled up via search function....but that is my only gripe with this whole site I swear!

Assuming the worst case wire size (probably 14 or 16 awg), you'll still have plenty of headroom with a 10A breaker. It would take more than twice that amount of current to melt it.

Sean,
Check out the amps that pump draws. It should be on the pump name plate but, I agree with Tim's statement below.

Thanks fellas! Like clockwork it's pouring here so no removing the boat cover. Got the part ordered without having to wait on the weather. This site and you guys knowledge is truly an asset to those of us in a pinch

Work has been crazy this summer, so it's hard maintaining this old cranky girl and finding time to actually enjoy it, these little tips help streamline the process for me so much.

Does anybody have a non-boat dealer source for these fuses? I am wondering if there is a part number I could use to order from an electrical shop or car parts store?
