If Marine Glass quotes you more than the insurance will cover, you can just get the top channel from them, have a piece of glass cut and put it together yourself.
You could also have Alan do it too.

It's just 1/8" tempered glass, flat as a pancake. You bend it when you put it back in the frame. I would bet your windshield looks similar to the one on "snobsessed"'s boat? with a silver, things could be slighly different.... everyone is off at greenlake this weekend, so the experts will likely chime in after they return
