Hi all,
I need a new prop for my 1994 ski nautique pro boss h.o. (carbed one) but unfortunately I cant find the prop specs on the existing one. Thus I wonder if any of you guys knows the original diameter and pitch when I look for a replacement prop.
We are pulling mostly slalom water ski and take occasional family day tours with the SN, so if you can recommend a prop I would be very grateful!

Which transmission do you have? There are a handful of 93-94 SN's out there with the 1:1, but most have the 1.23.

Hmm...how do I tell? Actually I am a few hours drive from the boat at the moment. Most probably its a standard SN since it was exported to Sweden, what do you think? I have found an OJ 13x16, "P cup" it says. Do you think it will suit the boat well?

Tough to say what it is- I cant see it from here! Take a look at the transmission tag- it will tell you what the output ratio is.
If its the more common 1.23, then the 13x16 would work alright... but there are better options out there.

Ok, thanks, I will look at the tag - and bring the 13x16 as an option.
What would you say are better options than the OJ? What will I gain?

It depends on how you use the boat, and the current performance youre seeing with it now. Tell us more about what your goals are, and get us some baseline numbers (WOT RPM and gps speed). Knowing what prop youre running would be helpful- so if you cant ID the current wheel, and you do confirm that you have the 1.23, then throw the 13x16 OJ on there for the baseline numbers.

My 94 ski came from the factory with a 14 diameter 16 pitch OJ (for sea level). Because I live at altitude the dealer changed it to a 14 x 14 OJ. I have the 1.23:1.00 transmission and the 300 HP Protec injected motor. I replaced my prop last year with a ACME 1442, 13.25Dia, 15.000 pitch, 0.090 cup, 3 blade, 1" bore, RH Rotation. This prop runs awesome on my boat. At 4200' elevation where we usually run I consistently pull 4500-4800 RPM @ WOT. I spoke with Bill Hostaedler A ACME and he was very helpful. If you talk to ACME they will ask you what your WOT rpm is. Look on your engine placard and find maximum WOT rpm and maximum cruise rpm. You really need to be close to WOT engine maximum for max performance with what ever prop you get. I got mine from Delta Props you get a discount being a CCF member. Hope this helps. Kerry
