I looked around at local places and nobody had anything good. Plumbing supply places had some very thin SS that was rolled so it had a seam that I wasn't too fond of. Muffler and auto supply places didn't have anything any better.
In my desperation, I ended up going with copper at $21 a foot. Of course they made me buy a 10 foot piece so I now have one extra 40 incher.
Your best bet for SS is to start Googling.

The copper does sound nice though, and it really isn't much louder than the stock mufflers.

There is a definite difference between the copper and the stainless. I heard a 2001 that was done in copper last week. You wouldn't expect it to be that much different than stainless but it has a deeper tone to it.

When I was searching I found good prices for 3" stainless (I think it was 300 series) on Amazon.com but I just kept mine stock for now.

GaryS got his stainless elbows form the summit racing catalogue.

Michael,
Wherever you end up getting the elbows, make sure the stainless is a 300 series and not the 400 series which is the cheaper "muffler" grade.

I just checked out ebay and there's plenty of stainless 3" for sale. As mentioned, I suggest the 300 series.

My Thanks to all of you. I"ll get to checking on Ebay and post my results. I"m not opposed to copper but do agree 300 series stainless will offer the most corosion resistance.

I know this has probably been asked many, many, many times but I am going to ask again, what is the simplest way to post pictures on this site? I got Southwind 20 stringer replacment photos.
