I have a 91 Sport Nat. and the voltage gauge drops when ruuning at normal speed or when the blower is turned on. Other symptons are when the lights go on the gauge drops running the radio. I have been stuggling with this problem for a while and could use some help.

Also I would like to know if there is a complete wiring diagram for this boat?

Check your grounds.

Lefty,

Thanks I did check the grounds and was wondering if the problem was simlar to the other issues that I saw being reported with the voltage drop and changing the wiring.

I still need more help does someone else have any other ideas?

Is there another site like this one but for Sport Nautquie's?

Larry:

Easy way to check grounding issues is to run a wire directly from the negative battery post to the ground connection on the volt meter. Run this wire exposed if you like, because it is temporary. If the guage then acts normally, you must clean all ground contacts and repair poor wire terminals. My suggestion is to solder all crimped connections.

Sheesh, Larry... This topic is nearly eligible for the FAQ section!

Scroll down a couple to this thread and read the first few postings... It fixed my 1991 Nautique Excel guage problems with no questions whatsoever;
