How are the ski platforms attached to the earlier boats? I have a 77 mustang and am trying to adapt a platform on to it. Is it just screwed in? How many screws? Any pics or advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Craig,
Since the platforms weren't available fro the factory untill very late 77 and then 78, you may not have any backing glassed into the transom. Some of the early ones were lag bolted at the top and then just small screws at the bottom to keep the brackets from rotating. Through bolting is preffered but you'll need to pull the fuel tank and check the transom. How about some pictures?
