Anyone got a Pro-Tec ignition module for sale? I know working ones seem to be getting hard to find, but even a spare semi-working one might be helpful if I can raid it for parts...

Sydney AU?
I have one in my shelf complete, wiring arness, module, and trigger(flat dizzy).
I did the swap last year so I have no use for it.
I´m in argentina, so shipping would be the only problem though....

Should have mentioned my location Yes, Sydney Australia. I must admit I wasn't all that hopeful anyone would have one!
Was it working when you removed it?
How much would you want for the parts (i only need the module, but spares never hurt)?
I'd be happy to pay for postage and your trouble if you would be able to put it in a box and post it for me. If not, I may be able to arrange a courier to pick it up from you - i'll find out.
Cheers,
Brett

yes it was functional when removed, I don´t know if it was tuning or what, but wot was only 4200rpm, had missfires at wot. On the rest of the powerband it run fine.
I replaced it and now I see 4800-4900 wot...
Its collecting dust and I think I have no use for it. Cost $100 for everything including the sparkwires plus shipping.
what boat is it for? carbed protec of injected?
If its carbed IMHO i´d rather try to save some cash and buy the retrofit kit. You are buying time only with old protec...
Í can get some pictures if you are interested.
let me know if its ok so I can quote you shipping....
Check for member flinboards jody, he also had some protec parts for free, but that was a while ago though...

Thanks for the info. It is for a carb engine, and whilst I was initially concerned about the lack of knock correction, limp modes and cruise advance features offered by the retro kit, it seems everyone has nothing but good things to say about the performance.
I just checked out postage costs and it probably is going to be better to just bite the bullet and go for the retro kit in this case.
Thanks for your help with this!
