2 days in a row I was stopped by the same cop on clinton lake. The only way to describe this guy was rude. Has anybody had this experience before? The guy was actually super pissed when he figured out I wasn't drunk and I had all of the correct safety equipment. Is two times enough to consider it a trend?

And it doesn't help that I'm in a marked boat..... loud stereo, American flag, loud drunks in the backseat.....

Sorry, but you must be doing something wrong!!!! I have NEVER been stopped/pulled over and that's roughly 50 years!!! Figure it out yourself!!

Panda, he was out there Saturday night pulling every single boat that came in to the docks over. They were checking for overloading, equipment and paperwork. Must have just been in a ball busting mood. I waited until he pulled over a pontoon with about 12 people on it then we snuck in and pulled the boat. The DNR is usually out there very weekend but I have never seen this activity at the ramp before, hope it doesn't continue it's a PITA.

Alan we missed you out there. It definitely was a huge pain in the butt, but he did get the boat that came in after me, he was doing the whole roadside Olympics.

In Florida getting boarded is inevitable. Doing a job is one thing. Nasty attitude is another.

I really feel your pain, Our boating season is only 10 months long here. Your DNR has a quota of citations to write and a short time to properly add money to the coffers.
One sighting of a "Barney" all year on our complex, gotta love the south.Too damm hot to patrol for tubers and water scooters....Ha ha

Can't say that it will definitely help, but if you can get the Power Squadron safety inspection, or something similar, put the sticker on your windshield and keep the paperwork. If they still pull you over, show them the paperwork. It has been my experience that after they see the paperwork from the inspection, they stop looking for problems.

thanks scottb. I am definitely going to get that safety inspection. I'm really sick of the IDNR
