This is an engine I repaired for some customers.
It's a Ford 3.6 liters inline 6 cylinders, around 165hp at 4500rpms, it's got the upgraded SP head/intake/cam combo (Special Performance) and a holley two barrel carb, (Holley brand made in argentina under license in the 70's)
Will water test this week.

For you Eric, some pics of the v-drive unit made in Argentina.
Reduction is 1.5:1, has down angle, does not take much more power than this engine, I wonder why.

this guys are running the deadly combo! non marine dizzy, non marine carb, non marine fuel pump! I´d say almost all argentine engine set up´s are set like that! no wonder you hear they blow up from time to time!
now when you warn them they laugh at you!!!

The modified tailshaft makes alignment almost redundant.

lewy, yes you simply align the V-drive, they key here tyo have a smooth ride is to have the U joints and cardan in good condition and well balanced.
Are you familiar with this engine? I think this inline 6 was also made in Australia (Ford Falcon car engine)

Yeh Luch it was used in the Ford Falcon from the early 1960's right through to late 1970's. The Ford Falcon and the GMH Holden were the two most common family cars in Oz, and they had market dominance. The early engines were 144ci and 170ci they then went to the 200ci followed by the 221ci in about 1968 which is the 3.6l that you have.
There were a lot of aftermarket speed equipment made for these engines in Australia that is still available today.

This one is the 221 "SP", it has a different head with smaller combustion chambers and larger valves, a "spider" like intake, two barrel carb and a hotter camshaft. It has around 165hp vs. the 130 of the standar model.
