I've read many previous posts about bent struts, but had one question. Are you applying heat while bending back to straight? Mine is about 3/8" out of alignment. I built a box frame similar to the C channel one with bottle jacks that is in multiple threads. I used 2x6 lumber (all I had at my apartment) and I have a 4 ton bottle jack. Before I start pumping away I'd like a little clarification.   Thanks!

Look up annealing brass and bronze alloys! 450 degrees will do it!!!!!!
