Yes ive used transmission fluid on all of my boats it flows nicely through the intake and into the cylinders. I just pour some into the carb right after i get the RV antifreeze in. I pour it in slow as not to kill the engine right away, when i see it start smoking real good out the exhaust i pour in enough to stall it and the cylinders are nice and coated..
Some here use all different methods but this works, and im a OCD mechanic.

The best thing to use to fog an engine is Marvel oil. It's meant for top cylinder lubrication. Pour some in until it smokes, then pour in enough to choke the engine.

I use a 50/50 mix of Marvel Oil and Seafoam. Then follow Royom's smoke signals. Works great for me.
