Once I got the boat running on the hose this weekend, I took a careful look to see where my trans was leaking. The only leak I could see was at the shift lever on the case.   Can I change the seal on the shift lever without tearing the whole trans down? I'd like to send it to Eric, but that is not currently in the budget... I am working hard to make stringers happen first, if I can hold out on this trans, then The full rebuild will come in a year or two.

yes, remove the 3- 1/4 inch bolts on the neutral safety side, remove lever and slide out the valve. it is an o-ring, you'll probably need a gasket also on the neutral safety switch too

Thanks Eric!   I'll see if I can pull and reseal in the next couple of days.
