We're restoring a 1986 25th anniversary Ski Nautique. We're replacing the dashboard, but, in doing so, we'll also lose the 25th anniversary decals. Has anyone replaced these decals? Any thoughts on the best way to go about doing this? Just wanted to see if anyone has already done this and had font and sizing available to share. Otherwise, I'll try to get the measurements myself and work with a graphics shop and see what they can do. I'm attaching a pic to give a better idea. Thanks!

I have the same issue. I have looked into it and came to the conclusion no one had or at least I couldnt find anything. I was at one point going to take measurements but never did. Let me know if you do go to a graphics shop I may be interested in one as well.

I was looking for the same dash panel last summer as mine has a radio installed in the lower right corner that interfers with the steering cable. I talked to marinemarks about a new panel but needed to pull mine and send to them. Cost about $400 estimated. I never followed thru as mine is in perfect shape other than the radio. Looking to put ashorter body radio in mine. Contact is marks@marinemarks.com. Let me know if you ffind one as I may still be interested in replacing mine.

Is it just the, "Ski Nautique 2001" you're trying to replace? If so, I'd think you could use tracing paper to copy it and then any decent sign shop could make as many of them as you need and cheaply too I'd think. With a steady hand and some vinyl, you could probably make them yourself.

If you're referring to the Ski Nautique 2001 decal, measure it and I'll make you one.

That dash panel is screen printed so nothing on it is decals. This created a challange for me also so I had my buddy make some up after I measured them with a metric tape to get as close as possible. I will post pictures tomorrow for you.

I suggest doing the same. As long as someone needs to do the art work, then burn a screen and do a screen print. Keep it original guys and don't put Tim's decals on it!!! He'll sell you any decal he can make for a few dollars!

All the lines around the gauges and all the labeling beside the switches were screen printed. That would be a lot of work to remove the dash, gauges etc to replace a small section of lettering and quart of ink for printing on plastic is expensive. Why not get one of those "gerber mask" Pete always talks about and spray it on. And for the omnipotent one, I was going to give him the decal.

Tim,
I admire your offer to do the decal for free. It's always nice to hear about a fellow CCfan member helping another member.

You know my thought direction is always keeping things as original as possible but you have some very good points with keeping the project simple.

400 from that marine marks place wouldnt be too bad if it would be exactly like the original. Mine is pretty much shot. All of the stripes and letters are faded or gone, there is no point in me slapping a sticker on, the whole thing needs done.

Pete, I always help out other members. I've never been accused of ripping anyone off. You can't do everything for free.
