buying a 1972 ski mustang with 318 what prop should be on that boat?

The original prop would have most likely been a 12x14 Federal. If buying a new prop, a 12x13 OJ, or a 12.5x12 Acme would both be fairly comparable.

13" diameter props are too large for the 16' hull.

"left" as in LH rotation or "left" as in stil on hand? This Mustang if the engine hasn't been changed, would need a RH prop.

It is a LH rotation sorry it wont work out for you
