Anyone ever been? I'm planning my honeymoon right now, and I've only heard good things.

If you've been, where did you stay? How would you rate it?

Any other good suggestions?

Stopped there on a cruise about 8 years ago. I didn't make it too far into the town but it was one of the nicer locations for sure. Beautiful beaches and good food.

Belize on the other hand wasn't so nice. I literally saw a kid urinating in a ditch and an older lady washing clothes downstream in the same ditch. Crazy 3rd world experience at the time, I've heard it's much better now.

Went there for a long weekend of scuba diving about 5 yrs ago. Stayed at Fiesta Americana and used their on-site dive shop. We didn't leave the resort much, but the diving around Cozumel is really good. If/when I go back, I would probably go to the same place. Great hotel with great service.

I was there a few years ago but only for the day, so i cant comment on the accommodations. We took the ferry over from Playa del Carmen. I found the beaches to be clean and the locals to be very friendly. Didnt have any trouble communicating or anything. We rented a car and drove around a bit to check out some of the coastal attractions but did not do any diving. It was quiet out at the beaches, but busy downtown. Could've been the time of year. Have fun.
