Hi, I'm somewhat new to the forum but I am looking to restore a 1971 Ski Nautique. I have some bits and pieces to the old motor that was in the boat but I am looking for a counter rotating 318 to install. I have a good velvet drive transmission.

Tell us more about the "bits and pieces" If you have a decent RR block, and you can use the parts, the project may not be that bad.
Welcome to CCfan. You must tell us more. Cubs fan? well, that seems to put you in a neighborhood where we have plenty of CCfan members!!!

Sorry, I am new to forums so bear with me. I will get some pictures up when time allows. the project boat needs a 318 counter rotating engine. The engine installed is missing the heads and has a busted ring in one of the pistons. It still has the exhaust manifolds, intake manifold, Carter Carb, and other accessories. Im looking for a replacement small block (I can find heads), or a large block.

Yes I did. i've decided to try to get it back in the water. Do you still have a "Reverse Rotation" 318 you might want to part with?

I am sorry I used the wrong wording. I really didn't expect to get criticized and embarrassed because I used the wrong terminology. I explained that I was a newbie here. I will be more careful next time.

Got to expect a little hazing...if you reincarnate an old Chrysler you'll get along just fine around here. You need any parts I've got a bunch for a 318/360 minus the reverse rotation cam.

Tim,
No embarrasment intended. The "bacerds runnin" is an inside joke from a newbie a few years ago. That is how he asked about a RH rotation engine.. and the term has kinda stuck with a few of us.
I did talk to you last fall. I had my tuck running and pointed your direction, waiting for pics of the boat, when you got cold feet on selling it!

No, it's not that. I know CC used a RR block in my boat to start with, but I had to replace the block. Hope I didn't get a lefty.

HI
I JUST AQUIERED A 1970 MUSTANG FROM THE WIFE OF A FREIND WHO HAS PASSED AWAY. IT HAS BEEN SITTING OUTSIDE UNCOVERED FOR 7 YEARS. MT INTENT WAS TO RESTORE IT BUT THE HULL IS IN POOR SHAPE AND SO IS THE INTERIOR.
SO I AM THINKING ABOUT PARTING IT OUT. IY HAS A 318 REVERSE ROTATION. HAVE GOTTEN IT TURN OVER SO IT WAS NOT STUCK. I CHECKED THE IGNITION AND GOT IT TO SPARK AFTER CLEANING THE POINTS. MY NEXT HURDLE IS THE CARB AND FUEL PUMP WICH ARE SHOT
I WOULD SELL THE WHOLE BOAT AND TRAILER OR PART IT OUT
I CAN GARUNTEE THAT WILL TURN OVER AND HAS SPARK
LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK

Hey David, email sent. We met before a few years back. I used to spend a week on the lake every summer with my buddies and our old 88. Let me know what you're going to do with the boat. I'd be interested in parts and the motor/trans.
