Bearings and the diodes are all that's needed. Don't go to Autozone for the diodes! "piece of mind" sometimes just add's to being a "parts changer"!!! TEST and then go from there. I have NEVER had to needed to change out an alternator or generator on any of my boats. Yes, on others but that was due to other problems and was just solved by pressing in a new full wave diode bridge. Do you know how to do it?
