I just purchased a Tie Down Disk brake complete kit to replace my drum brakes. They suggest using a power bleeder (rather than manual pumping). However, they don't have any suggestions, etc. on the brand or the correct adapter/connector that will screw onto the top of the actuator. I have Tie Down Actuator model 66 (47211).
I've been looking at the Motive brand of power bleeders http://www.motiveproducts.com/ but don't know which one to get because I don't know which one will screw into the actuator.
Does anyone have any suggestions of what will fit?

Check their marine section for the press on style of adaptors or just look in the single adaptor section and there is one there labeled 'classic American and marine trailer.' One of those two should work. I've used the press on type for automotive applications and it works well after you get it fitted properly. Although looking at it, the press on one might be a little too small of a diameter to make a decent seal. Hard to tell.

This is a suction type setup where you are drawing fluid from the bleed nipple via vacuum rather than pushing it via pressurizing the master cylinder.
It works great, I use it on all my cars for regular brake fluid flushes.

I saw the one for classic American car and marine. I don't really like the clamp on one. The manufacturer is actually about a half hour away, so I may take my actuator there just to make sure it is the right size.
I've tried a vacuum bleeder, but the problem I've had is that air gets sucked through the threads and into the vacuum line, so I'd prefer a pressure bleeder.
Actually, I put speed bleeders on one of my cars, and they work great. The only problem is that Tie Down will not honor the warranty if I change anything (to put new speed bleeders on). I guess I'll wait until the warranty is up and then I'll switch.
