Hey Guys,

My Ski Tique has the removable floor cutout behind the engine compartment that some of you have mentioned in forums. I know this piece is not original however this is not on my fix it list as of now. I have noticed a piece of plastic carpet trim the fits into the gap between the permanent floor and the removable piece in some pictures. Does anyone know where I might be able to find this?

Thanks

That removable panel is original on your boat- not sure what would give you the impression that it wasnt.

Original style carpet trim can be found at http://www.nautiqueskins.com/Interior_Parts___Accessories.html" rel="nofollow - Nautiqueskins .

Speaking of carpet- I just had a boat repair place tell me that they use this (link below) home Depot carpet in their boats. ...call me crazy, but if I can install this in mine, I would have enough money left to re-do it every three years for 10 or more years. Any thoughts before I jump ship on "marine grade" carpet?

What model and year would the carpet be going in?

BTW, somethings up with your link. It didn't work for me.

It possible HD has a carpet simil;ar to what you had opiginally. If you are carful taking out the old one you can use it as a pattern. Cut your new one a little larger and trim it once you have it in the boat. Fit it in loosely, glue 1/2 ata time and then trim. If you are doing the sides as well start there. If you drip glue it won't land on your new carpet. save the black trim or buy new and fit the carpet to it.

Looks nice, but I can't offer any concrete information on how long it will last. I was thinking of using something similar.

I think Keeganino put this carpet in his boat last year.
