Hi everybody, I just purchased a 2002 AN, and I'm checking everything thoroughly... Does anybody know about these unplugged wires I discovered on the harness at the back of the engine (4 black green + 1 yellow)? Is it normal (fresh cooling system adaptors?) Should they be plugged together?

I was hoping someone would answer this because I'm curious, but I have no idea.
Did you just get the boat and it came this way?

Yes it came this way. The correct craft dealers in France and UK are unable (or too busy) to answer! The way it is placed on the engine, I think it is the connection for the optional fresh water cooling system...But I would like to be sure...

On the older boats, I don't think the Fresh Water Cooling systems had much in the way of electrics. Not sure about the newer ones.
It certainly doesn't look like they plug together. You could always try PCM Corporate in the US. Members on Planet Nautique could have some insight as well, because more of them have newer engine type boats.

Ok thanks. Already tried Planet Nautique, but nobody answered... I had a reply from Nautique Parts saying there are many unplugged wires on an engine, for various uses... Thanks anyway for your answer that is truly appreciated. I'll keep in touch if I have more news about these mysterious wires...

Hi there, I just got a reply from PCM factory: "Those connections are for Crusader not used on PCM" Cool, I was fearing something was wrong. Bye for now!

Good to know Maybe that's why they put the nice covers on the top of the modern engines, so people won't go lookin' at stuff

Yes, I always had a tendency to look what's underneath nice covers...Always interesting!
