does anyone know where I can find an hour meter replacement for my 86. I believe they are VDO gauges. The housing broke in half, I could possibly glue it back but a replacement would be easier but I cannot find one.

Does the actual meter still work? I have an intact gage/housing but the actual meter doesn't work any more. I don't know what's involved in swapping out the internals but maybe we could use 2 bad to make one good.

The closest looking replacement I've been able to find is http://compare.ebay.com/like/190566373268?var=lv<yp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar&_lwgsi=y&cbt=y" rel="nofollow - this .

Justin not knowing what you have now I'm guessing the faces between your old one and new are different? I cut my old VDO apart to use the innards in an old housing and super glued them back together. You could do the same to change the face if it is different if you could bring yourself to cut open a new gauge.

By the way getting the brass bezel off without making a mess of it is darn near impossible

ya that one has a light definitely. According to nautiqueparts they dont make the VDO ones anymore. I may get that one from ebay and see what I can work out.
