Need a trailer and was wondering if anyone has a guesstimate on weight for my 71 skier. I don't really have any idea. If anyone knows of where to get a trailer, I would also be interested in that. Thanks

Scott,
The specs as shown for a Skier in the reference section of a 1973 model, (same boat as yours) show the dry weight as 1600 pounds. Post some pictures of that fine boat.

Thank you for the quick reply. I will definitely post some pictures. Not much to look at right now, but I plan to start working on it as soon as I can get a decent trailer. I have a homemade trailer and it makes me nervous to tow it very far. So far some of the quotes for new trailers have been almost as much as some folks are asking for their boat and trailer on this site :-). I will let you know when I get some pictures up. Thanks.

if you do invest in a trailer, i would stay away from those constructed from boxed channel. they rust from the inside out. c-channel is the way to go.

that's dry weight. you need to add for fuel, oil and gear.

look in the reference section for what your trailer should look like if you decide to build one. glen-l has trailer plans to purchase online.

i have been quoted 2800 from ram-lin, but my brother said he gets aluminum trailers for 1500 or so in floriduh. my opinion, but aluminum has to much flex.
