Well, after 36 years of duty on my Southwind trailer, the jack has finally worn out, and I am now in the market for a new one.

My trailer frame has a plate welded to it with a circular pipe welded to it that the old jack would rotate up out of the way with when traveling.

Any recommendations for a new one to replace the old? Best place to purchase??

That was a waste of money Dave.Buy the extended warranty for the Chinese one you get next.

Most OEM's are http://www.shelbyindustries.com/All-Categories.html" rel="nofollow - Shelby's BUT, they are around 80.00
As opposed to the 20.00 Fulton's and the Dutton-Lainson's.

I appreciate the advice on those Shelby units. I had not heard of them. I did check out Skidim, and they had one (not sure of brand) for $50.00.

I hope I can get 36 years out of the next one. Probably better not go the Chinese route then.

I heard the double wheel jacks were much easier to work with. Has anyone tried one?
