I got some new battery cables and solenoid, then we had a baby, then I forgot how everything went back together, plus I forgot to take a picture before I started all this. I need some help to make sure I put this back together right and don't screw anything up. So the only thing I think I've got messed up is the yellow/red extra wire that goes to the starter. '93 SN with ProTech still working (fingers crossed) Wiring Description: Top: small black ground cables (originally bolted to back of mounting plate/solenoid) Small Left (S): small yellow/red goes to neutral safety switch (S on solenoid) Small Right (I): small orange wire (hard to see in pic where ever it goes) Bottom Big: Large wire to starter and another medium red wire (I'm thinking the other yellow/red wire that goes to the starter belongs here too.) Top Big: New 2/0 cable that runs directly to positive battery terminal.
Please set me straight.
Thanks, Britt

Looks like a PMGR starter? If so, wire it like this:
(Ignore everything that the Protec replaces).
Explanation: On your remote solenoid, put both of your large battery cables (one from the battery, the other going to the starter) on the same large post. On the 2nd large post, put the smaller trigger wire that also runs to the starter (it appears to be yellow/red in the picture of your starter). This is NOT the same wire as the one coming from the NSS, though it does appear to be the same color scheme.
In this set up, the remote solenoid doesnt act as a relay for the primary starting circuit. Its only a relay that transfers the start signal to the second relay (mounted on the starter).
Make sense?

Thanks, I didn't have that diagram (just the other single wire one). Makes more since now. And I don't feel the need to turn the solenoid 90 degrees to make all the big wires hang downward (because they already will be.)
