Thoughts on preventatively replacing trailer leaf springs? Especially on a trailer that's, er, 30 years old? Good thinking. Ive never had a trailer tire fail... but Ive broken 2 springs and another spring bolt. Measure your length and see if theyre oddball like the CC trailers... its not fun trying to source an odd sized spring in the middle of nowhere. Install is a piece of cake, its pretty straightforward. ------------- |

Tim, Yup, I'm with you on this one. We sometimes forget Joel's new boat/trailer. I put mono leaf springs on the trailer years ago. I even downsized the rate from 3500 to I believe 3000.
