David Small, the World Champion Barefoot waterskier was in town footin with some friends of mine and he wanted to go skydiving and asked me for a ride to the nearby airport. A short time later I found myself jumping out of a perfectly good airplane.

Those are awesome pictures. I did that myself a few years ago(like 25years). I do wish they would have used tandem jumping then. We were tied to a tether that pulled the chute after we jumped. I was so concerned about doing things properly to land safely that I didn't have a lot of time to enjoy the moment. Still glad I had the chance to do it though. Do you think you will do it again?

Judging from the pics......you hated it! Good stuff.

He told me: No matter what happens, SMILE!

Yes I'll do it again, it was so much fun.

I went once, it was so much fun. Unimaginable acceleration and speed.

I'm imagining 9.8 m/s^2 neglecting air resistance.

Looks like a blast. Always something I wanted to do.

We bailed out at 13,000 ft and pulled the cord at 5,000 so there was a nice freefall.

there is a tiny stablizing shute that keeps the tandems from speeding out of control due to the weight, I never even felt it when he deployed it, I did not look up at all, I never even saw the parachute LOL
