Anyone have a good check list to winterize a boat? I am going to have it done but would really like to know what the proper steps are. Like change the oil in the fall or the spring? Filters? etc... I am pretty sure I could do it my self but just I am REALLY scared to forget something and pay the price in the spring....

Yep..I would like something for an 86 SN 2001 as well. I think I know how to do everything...Just need to know where everything is. Drain bolts, transmission cooler drain, oil change, impeller. Anything else to think of???

How many here block up their trailers with boats on them for the winter so that they dont develop a whatever after sitting on the same part of the tire for 8 months. I remember as a kid seeing things like this. Didnt know why.

I block nine up. Just because. Like to keep the weight off the bearings to keep metal to metal contact at a minimum. Also, at least I feel, tires should rotate not sit still for 6 months. I actually turn them to distribute the bearing grease a bit over the lay-up period. Remember, "If a little is good; a lot is better."

I have never blocked up a trailer unloaded or loaded and have never had a problem. I feel the practice was developed way back in the bias ply tire days.
