Can anyone help me pinpoint what ignition setup I have here? New boat to me and I'm sorting it out / working on a rough running issue. Sorry for multiple threads on this - posting this one specifically for the ignition diagnostic so it'll be better search for others.

Here's the overall motor shot:


Here's a look under the cap:


Rear hookups - is that the voltage regulator disconnected?



The dizzy, rotor, and cap is looking pretty rough...

Don't know if this is your problem or not, but that wiring has been messed with a good deal. Also, I can't see signs of a ballast resistor, if in fact your ignition needs one... which it may not. Looks like it has an electronic conversion kit.

I'd be tempted to go with a brand new engine wiring harness:
