we have a 2 yr old boy in our extended family , born at 26 weeks , 1lb 2 oz he had some catching up to do but he is healthy and shows the amazing accomplishments that mother nature and good medical care can give . ------------- former skylark owner now a formula but I cant let this place go |

I was 2 moths premature and 2Lbs. 12 oz's when I was born back in 52. At that time, being a premature baby was pretty scary to say the least. I'm glad I made it! Vera is doing fine, no respirator now, and taking the milk mother is taking out with the extractor pump. All we can do now is wait till she gains some weight. All her signs are good so luckily in breeze she will be at home! ------------- <a href="">1992 ski nautique |

Vera is gaining weight every day, she is now around 2.8lb. She is looking good, and I was able to hold he in my arms this past sunday, boy I was happy! She is still using the cpap mask every now and then, as she sometimes do some apneas, she forgets to breath a few seconds and then she recovers in a sudden. I was told its normal for babies in that age. With time they will go. Natalia is feeling well, and strong, and spends most of the day at the clinic trying hard to pump milk out. Kids are having a hard time, Valentino the eldest its suffering the most. He never recovered from the previous arrival and now this. He is giving me a hard time. Bad temper, negative, etc, and also take his borther to the same behaviour. I get overwelmed sometimes.He suffers from 1grade eneuresis and he is encopretic, and got worst after Vera´s birth. Guess he is trying to call the attention by doing this. He is under traetment with a psico, but sometimes he refuses to go, so is a bit frustrating for me. Me probably should also need to see a shrink as I get irritated easily! I´m holding it but eventually i need to let go something! don´t want to burst like a baloon! ------------- <a href="">1992 ski nautique |

Hey Kap, Sounds like you have your hands full. Congrats on your new baby girl. I'm sure it's not easy keeping the peace. Always seems to be an issue when the "New Kid" comes along.. Thanks for the updates Kap. Glad to hear your daughter is getting stronger everyday. Summer is around the corner for y'all down there so maybe one day soon you and Valentino can get some Father/Son guy time in and show him that even with all this going on in your life your son is still just as important. UPDATE good vibes are doing wonders! Vera is doing fantastic, she is now breathing without any mechanical aids. She is past the 3.2lb and increasing around 1 oz a day. Lately I´m also having her in my arms! She is so nice! Happy dad!   the tube is for feeding her. hi guys long time since last update: vera has left intensive care unit, she is now in intermidiate care unit. she is out of the incubator. Her weight is around 4.4lb so far.
