About 42' F here in High Point today---200 miles from the coast. Wind gusts up to 50 mph here also. Raining at the moment.
Check out these pics from Nags Head, NC at the Beach. It's Sea Foam flying around....

According to the newspapers here: Sandy already killed 14 people and 6,5 million people are without electricity...
6,5 million people... that's more than half of the whole population of my little Belgium

Beautiful day in upstate NY, a shower and a couple hours of 20mph wind was the worst of it , it apparently went below us and was dying off. My thoughts go to those it didnt miss.

Expecting the power to be out here for a while as they tend to the coastal areas. Could have been much worse from what I see. Many around me still have power and virtually no water damage

We were in it last night, but survived with power. There are outages all around us and many, many flooded areas around us. All of my folks are safe and sound. Thoughts and prayers go to those who were not as fortunate.

IM ALIVE BABY!! I slept through that storm like a baby last night. Trees are down all over the place. A few houses crushed but not many in all the places I drove today. Can't get to one of the marinas where I work because of down trees and power lines.
All my boats are safe, I got tons of food, good amount of booze, cant really work and I'm going to bed early. Where's the downfall to this storm?

Eric, glad to hear you're alive and kicking... I assume you don't have power? If so, then there's just one question that needs to be asked:
Did you remember to make ice before you lost power to keep the aforementioned beverages cold?

The beers were cold at the time but now their all gone! Thankfully there is power in a lot of places here in NJ. No one should die of hunger in Northern NJ. I got McDonald's for breakfast!!

Sorry I don't know how to embed from my phone. Someone can tho for me.
I've seen far longer gas station lines. Hundreds of people standing with red cans waiting for fuel for hours.

Even though we (my new job) have been going 24/7 for over 3 years and have a real large inventory of fuel cans (our product gas/diesel/kerosene) we can't get them to the east coast fast enough!!
