I suspect it has more to do with the dash change that occurred between 1993 and 1994 (on all models).

What kind of shape is that '93 dash in? I may be interested if it wont work for you.

Oh,   I scored an old airguide from the scrap yard, one I have not seen before.   I got to get that pic up somehow. It's got red on the dial.

Check Nautique Parts.com which is White Lake Marine in White Lake NC. I was on there site last night and I saw many replacement dashes. However, I did not see if they have what you need.

If TRBenj doesn't take the dash I really need one for my 91 SN - let me know and I will take it.

Thanks,
Craig

Wow, I would have guessed they were the same.   There was a guy on PN who made a mold for a 93 SN dash and made one out of fiberglass. I've always liked the idea, just a bit time consuming, i guess that might make a good winter project for you. What part didn't work out?

Ironically, the dash pod might be the only thing I cannot replace.

This might be the only thing to do then short of buying a boat.

The car audio guys build a basic frame for things and cover it with felt or spandex to get the shape they want and them coat that with resin to make it hard. Once you have that they you can lay some fiberglass on it until you get it solid enough to do the job. That may take a little time and sanding to get it right, but you have one to look at to get started. Depending on how perfect you want it you could either use that or go a step further and make a mold from it and make the final version out of the mold.

Anyone have a fix for the mounting holes on a dash pod that get torn out? I have a nice dash pod, but the mounting screws are all torn out. Seems like that could be fixed without replacing. More of a nuisance than a big problem.

Mine have a small metal insert rivited in the dash that act as the threads. It shouldn't be terribly hard to fill the holes and drill new holes for some new inserts. Might even be possible to use some T Nuts behind the dash, I haven't looked into how thick the glass is back there.

Correction- 1992 Sport Nautique. The 1gen Sport had a different dash than all of the other CC models.

I still have an interest in the gauges- no rush on my end either!

ononewheel,

There is a member on the Planet Nautique site who successfully created a mold and new dash pod out of fiberglass for a 1993 Ski Nautique. He posted some pictures and it looks pretty good. Apparently, he has been working on creating molds for other years and models and is planning on releasing a carbon fiber version of the dash pods in the new year. I don't know him--I just ran across is DIY post today. His handle is 93nautique0710 and he posted his phone number for anyone interested in a dash pod--423.444.9858. Maybe he can help you.

Anyone have a good left side picture of a 89-91 sport dash? I think I have an NOS pod for one upstairs.

Looks like a mess Seth, Do you have a plan and timetable to get things back together at home?
