Thanks Dave and Dreaming. Yea pinstripes could go. I am with you and Pete and others, “Keep it original". It is sometimes disgusting when people buy these older boats and ruin them with pin stripes, towers, etc. Now if you buy a boat with a tower on the boat then great, but don’t trash them if they don’t have it. I am glad though it went to a good home and owner. It makes the seller sick if you find out down the road the boat has gone to st and not taken care of. Out in the weather etc. She was a beauty and a pure beast. But I try to be optimistic and know there is a better one waiting.

Adding pin strips is at least reversible, Nothing cut or permanently changed. If it makes the guy happy why not. Maybe he pin stripes as a hobby or for a living and wants to get his work out there. He might even make the boat tax deductible as a business display . I keep forgetting to ask my accountant if I could put hardwood floors in mine and then right the whole thing off.

The pin srtrpes are tastefully done accent easily pieces removable with one can of oven cleaner. However those stripes show me more. They show that this Nautique was loved and cared for. New owner is a lucky guy.

Kevin I do somewhat agree. At first when you look at something, you think WO! But the more and more I look at the pics, they are starting to grow on me. The only ones if I said I dislike is on the vents.

What was the accent color? | Dave it was the cream light gray interior w/dark grey in the middle(exterior). The lettering was light grey, and all the pinstripes where red on the exterior. The interior where striped with red, black, and light grey. I was going to post a couple pics that I have but have to resize them.

I'm not throwing you under the bus, I might do that myself so I want to see it.
Lake Austin is completely overgrown right now so no much foiling above the 360 bridge and noe past City Park. I'm actually on my way to Ft Worth right now to meet some friends and ride my new set up. Sucks the closest driver I can find is 200 miles.

Lee,
I hope you got top dollar for that boat. Around here, they don't seem to be for sale if they are that clean.
I see why you miss it so.
Kinda gives me a lump in my throat. I sold my most favorite motorcycle I have ever owned, ridden, or seen after an accident which made it quite hard to ride, and even hearing the name, still brings a tear to my eye.

Seth, It was a bad deal.I got "HOSED"! I priced it at 6200 to just dump it,but the guy offered me 5200 cash money. It kinda pssed me off,I was so sick at the time at was not in control except for the price. My dad, which I am good now, gave him all the equipment, ski ropes(4)life vests, skis,a huge tool set that my brother n law gave me for x mas one yr and much more for 5200.It was about 1000 bucks of stuff that should have been taken out and was not.I jumped down dads throat cause there was a life jacket he wore in the 80's cypress gardens and wooden cypress garden ski that meant alot to me that I had kept just for memories and they where gone.So he decided to give them away. After listening to dad's reasoning, I understood where he was coming from.He didnt know whether I was going to live or die.But it is allright,I am fine with it now. This you can not control. The deal is done and gone and just look forward to the next one.
