On this same 1998 Air Nautique, the windshield is horribly water spotted. I have tried a lot of products, nothing touches it. any ideas what to try to get it clear again?

This stuff works. Then put some RainX on and it will be a long time until it happens again.

Glass top range cleaner and a white Scotch Bright pad got mine clean.

Vinegar, water, & a little soap?
Water spots are lime deposits, so you will need an acidic solution to cut it. This can be found in many products - bathroom cleaners, etc.

Agreed, the commercial windex brand vinegar and water glass cleaner (found easily at walmart) works like magic if you (like me) are just too lazy to take actual vinegar and water and put it in a spray bottle.

The product above is basically a polishing compound. If you already have some lying around try that first. I did this to my glass (3M finishing compound) and I've had multiple people ask me if I installed new glass.

The Douche formula also works wonders on Gel waterspots.

Will the vinegar take off acid rain spots etched by the sun? Not the hard water/lime deposits.

Vinegar & water will get the spots off, Invisible Glass will make it just that. I'm not sure why, but I've never seen a glass cleaner like it once the spots are gone.

I used CLR on my '85 when I first got it. Worked like a charm.
