So far no big deal. The snow started early. We got about 10" starting early this morning and the storm isn't supposed to get here till tonight. They calling for as much as 24+" by tomorrow. Unfortunately, most will fall along the coast and not in the mountains.

Kind of fun seeing the Weather Channel and network news reports from Cape Cod. Yeah....ask me how much I miss that.

Well I just went out for Maggie's nightly walk and in the city we are getting hammard. There is a plow going around the neighborhood and I could not see where it entered. Walked down Dorchester Ave And Galvan Blvd. and we were the only one around. There is about 7 inches of snow already and it is not only snowing but raining as well. The weather update is that this is going to last until Saturday afternoon. At this rate we will get over 2ft. Maggie did her business, loves the snow, and we are in for the night. Openned the vino and going to get the fireplace going.

Roger that. After a lifetime in CT, the last 15 winters in Georgia have not been labor-intensive. Although I miss the fun and beauty of winter, the things I don't miss are shoveling, snow-blowing, snow tires, gloves, hats, boots, slush, gas-line antifreeze, plugging in a diesel, rusty quarter-panels, getting the driveway shoveled then going inside just in time to see the plow go by so that i can do it all over again, and standing on a ladder in a blizzard chopping ice out of my gutters to get my house to stop leaking.....
What I do miss is playing hockey and doing donuts...

Pretty good storm, about 30" so far. Windy! Keith went skiing this week end. I hope the lifts are open.

My children tell me there is in excess of 2ft. in CT and I read the state has shut down the roads. I'm looking at a great day here in FL for boating, gloat, gloat. Pontoon's a waitin.

I wish we had winters like we used to. I haven't put the skis on my sled in powder for 2 years now :(. Only actually pushed snow once this year. If we had 30 inches I would commute via Snowmobile for weeks!

Bonus points for anybody posting a photo with at least two feet of snow. Standard winter day here in Seattle. Mid-40's and light rain.

Crank it over Pete! I started the sled last year and I have fuel shut off to run it out of gas when I kill it for the season. That fuel is two years old so I will probably Siphon the tank before I try to start it next season. Proably just should sell it, it takes up room and doesn't get ridden.
I want to see some snow pictures!!!!!!!

Heres my driveway. The hood on my red Caddy is under the snow, the white Audi in the left rear is up on jackstands 2' off the ground.
Guess I have to go out and shovel.

Mark, I bet the caddy will plow right through the snow! I always liked the STS especially the 320 HP. I've driven numerous Sts cars with the north start that will bark the tires going into 2nd gear haha.
Once it snows I would rather see snow covering all the ugly brown grass untill the spring thaw. Not the case here in Indiana.

Up in Orono, Maine we only got about 18"-20" but the wind sure made things interesting. Not much snow in front of the building in the right half of the picture. My unit is in the top left of the picture. We had about a 4.5' snow drift in front of the door.
