I am in the middle of sanding/buffing my 1997 Ski Nautique.

I would like to know how the rear black plate covering the vent outputs?

Thanks,
Jim

Jim,
I'm confused with what you are asking. Could you explain it some more?

I am sorry. I should have previewed the thread first.

On the stern on my boat, in the center, just behind the rear seat, and above the stainless steal grab rail, there is a black cover plate. This plate covers the vents.
I would like to remove this cover plate to buff under the cover, and then re-attach it after buffing.
Thanks,
Jim

Jim - Could you take a photo for those of use who don't own a 1997 boat? The only similar thing on my boat is held in with screws you access from the top, but I'm guessing that you might get to yours by removing the rear seat and gaining access the area above the fuel tank? However, that is a total stab in the dark after looking at photos of the boat in the 1997 brochure and assuming that you don't see any obvious screws.
